We got together a couple of weeks back and found a few models to work together with.  Sometimes (don’t be offended Brides-to-be ;) ), it’s nice to shoot something other than white dresses :)

These shoots are so much fun – hanging out with friends, learning and teaching and taking pictures… all things I really enjoy doing.

Lancaster Photog Shootout

I was lucky enough to get to spend time working with Rachel.  If you think she looks familiar… you’re right.  She was one of the fun brides that I got to work with a while back at the huge Trash the Dress event, at the same location.

Atlantic City Photog Shootout

Towards the end of February, a group of us got together to have some fun, practice some off camera lighting and share info back and forth (ok, a few drinks may have been involved too :) ).

After the make-up and hair was done, we started off at Elfreth’s Alley.  From there you took a short drive to Washington Square Park.  You can’t tell from the pictures, but it below 20 degrees this night.  These girls were definitely troopers.

Not being under the pressure of a wedding day, the point of this exercise was to try out some different ideas and also to try some new equipment out.  The new and amazing Canon 200mm f/2.0 IS lens was on loan from Canon and I got to play with review it.  My personal short use review of it… it is a wonderful lens and I want one.
