Kari and Joel are the type of couple I really like. They are extremely nice, fun to work with, and they trust me while I’m working. We walked around Frenchtown, NJ for a little while over the weekend. We were waiting to see if the ski slopes, since they are both big snow boarders, would be open in time before their wedding in just a few weeks. Unfortunately, the weather has been just a little too warm and they didn’t open till just last minute. Not a big deal though. We walked up and down the main street and all braved the chilly weather together (finished off by a really good mexican meal).

The light was perfect that day, but as the sun set, I used a little photography magic (flash ) and got some unique engagement sunset pictures for them!  Once I look at the image on the camera, I know if I got the shot or not…. and after this session… I knew I got it!

For their Engagement session, we walked around the pier for a little bit, but as the wind chill drove us away, we were able to get some fun shots back in the small town (REALLY small town).  We walked around and they gave me the freedom that makes my job so much more fun!  It didn’t hurt that they were both pretty comfortable in front of the camera from the start.  Lots of laughing (again, just they way I like my sessions), and we even hit the bar for a drink towards the end.  Great way to finish off a really fun time.

I met up with Tiffany, Nate and Nate’s daughter at Ridley Creek State Park.  I don’t know what it is this year, but I can’t get people to stop laughing while photographing their engagement pictures.  Tiffany and Nate weren’t any different.  Tons of laughs and just relaxed moods.  The pups helped and a made an appearance in a few pictures.  Bulldogs seem to be very easy to photograph, and Boxers are good for big sloppy (drooling) kisses.

We walked around for a bit, talked for a bit, and took some pictures.  Just the way I like to photograph engagement sessions.

Heather and Shaun are planning for a very small, but intimate wedding at the end of this month and it sounds like it is shaping up to be a very special night for everyone attending.

Kristi and Keith were no different!  We had a blast walking around the Art Museum and Center City Philadelphia.  These two are just naturally happy and so easy to talk to and really easy to work with taking their pictures.  I won’t go into any embarrassing stories that I heard that day – I’ll leave that for Kristi to maybe leave in the comments
