Philadelphia Flower Show

Still playing catch up on the blog here..

Each year at the beginning of March, the Philadelphia Flower show opens up.  I take the opportunity to walk around and look for different angles and ways to use light in different ways.

Even when not “on duty” I still get suckered in to shooting the wedding;)

These shoes were made entirely out of plants and flowers.  pretty cool. (not wearable though)

Photog Shootout – 1st GTG

Back in January (I know I’m behind), the first of many-to-come Photog ShootOut get together’s took place.  We all met up for a fun day of shooting, mentoring and sharing of information.

You can check out the group’s Facebook page here… www.photogshootout.com

Here are a few I snapped that day.

Beta Testing

Hey all!

I was hand chosen to beta test the new version of my current blog.  You will probably see some changes every now and then.  I think this new version totally ROCKS! and I can’t wait to see any other upgrades.

If you notice any bugs/issues, please let me know and I will pass them on.

For you photographers, this the is soon-to-come ProPhoto Theme v2 (beta).

We are now iPhone compatible

Just launched: iPhone version of Your Timeless Photos!

I have just created a simple iPhone version of the website to browse.  This blog is now also iPhone compatible too.  It is very simple to navigate and there is nothing you need to do different.  If you are visiting Your Timeless Photos.com from your iPhone, it will automatically open (the iPhone site).

I have had mine for over a year now, and it does everything I need it too.  Pick up yours and check out the newest wedding website to hit the iPhone.

Extra Credit :)

So outside of weddings, I like to stay busy and keep ideas fresh in my head for new picture ideas – kinda some personal “extra credit”.  Just a few days ago, a few other wedding photographer friends and I got together and arranged a session with some local models.

Not being under the pressure of a wedding day, the point of this exercise was to try out some different ideas and also to try some new equipment out.  The new and amazing Canon 200mm f/2.0 IS lens was on loan from Canon and I got to play with review it.  My personal short use review of it… it is a wonderful lens and I want one.

Harleigh: (Canon 200mm 2.0 IS)

(Canon 24-70mm 2.8)

Ebony: (Canon 200mm 2.0 IS)

(update):  Thanks also goes out to Craig Single (Craig’s shots) for letting me try the sweet lens out while he had it on loan.  My good friends, Stacie Lech (Stacie’s blog) and Mark Gardner (Mark’s shots) were also in attendance.

Christina and Scott – Wedding

A few weeks ago, I photographed Christina and Scott’s engagement session.  Yesterday, I was photographing their wedding.

The day was held at the beautiful Bear Creek Mountain Resort.  The day was very hot, but everyone was great and we all had a lot of fun together.

I stole the newly weds away from the reception for a few minutes and we walked down to the pond for a short evening session.

Take a look at the preview from the day…

Thanks you two, I had a great time!… Enjoy Jamaica!
