For Sale! :)

Hey everyone!  I am in the middle of relocating my studio and also updating to new equipment.  This means that I have great stuff to get rid of.

To start, I have a Dell 24″ 2407WFP-HC Monitor and also a Dell 20″ 2007WPF-HC monitor to part with.  Both monitors have treated me very well… and Photogs, these do actually calibrate very nice (a very important part of the processing steps).

For ease and cost, it would be nice to keep it local (Philly) but if you aren’t in the area, I’m sure we can work something out too.

24″ – $500

20″ – $120

Let me know if you are interested.

Fashion Model shoot

My good friend Eric Kash (www.erickash.com) is an extremely talented fashion photographer.  Working with models as often as he does, he sees a different aspect and industry of photography than I do with weddings.  To try to challenge myself and share some of my tips with him, I went along on a big model/fashion photographer get together in NJ just outside of Hoboken, a couple weeks back.

There were about 40-50 other photographers and about 20 models.  Some people would be intimated in this kind of scene… but this was nothing compared to the family formal portion of a wedding day:).

I stepped up to each model and took control of the scene and directed them the way I wanted, all while there were about 7-10 other photographers shooting over my shoulder.

Here is what I got – what do you think for my first fashion shoot?

(yes, she really does have two different colored eyes!)

Model Shoot – Circle of 8 GTG

Being part of the wonderful Circle of 8 (www.phillyweddingphotographers.com) is a very rewarding experience.  Not only have I made very close friends, but the help with new techniques and tips that we share is invaluable.

We got together a couple of weeks back and found a few models to work together with.  Sometimes (don’t be offended Brides-to-be;)), it’s nice to shoot something other than white dresses:)

Here are a few of my favorites of the day.

Janelle and Angelo – 2nd Shoot

The second part of my double header weekend had me working with my other really good friend, Leslie Gilbert, of Mt. Joy, PA.  We were photographing Janelle and Angelo’s wedding.

Janelle was one of our models from our shootout back in May (http://yourtimelessphotos.com/blog/2009/05/lancaster-photog-shootout/).  Having met her before and had LOTS of fun shooting that day, made it like we were all just a bunch of friends hanging out together:)

Janelle is working to become a wedding planner herself… and if she puts in even only half of the work she put into her own wedding, she is going to be extremely successful.  Their wedding cake was shaped to be a bowl of oatmeal! (that was part of their first date)… be sure to check out Leslie’s blog for the slideshow… there is a pic of the cake there.  There was even a limbo contest and hula hoop contest to bring back memories for their friends from school.

Graca and Florentino – 2nd Shoot

A couple of weeks back, as part of a double header weekend I had, I was helping my really good friend Mark Gardner shoot Graca and Florentino’s wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Hyatt in Cambridge, Maryland.

Our friend Darrel Aubert (aubertfilms.com), was also working at this wedding too.  He is a very talented videoographer… check out his blog for the preview trailer he put together.

Take a peak a few images I got from the day.

Eva and Brian – Wedding

I got the chance to help fellow photographer Alicia Cohen, of Old New Castle, DE, by photographing Eva and Brian’s wedding in Bethany Beach, DE (just south of Rehoboth Beach).

The wedding and reception were all held at the very beautiful Addy Sea Bed and Breakfast.  Eva, Brian and their guests were all extremely welcoming and fun to be around.  This crowd came to party.  The band hand to tell people to stop dancing… yeah, it was that kind of night:).

The day started off with everyone getting ready then on to the ceremony.  Immediately following the ceremony, Eva and Brian asked me to follow them back inside.  Eva grabbed an envelope that they have been holding onto for a little while now.  This was when they found out that they are having a baby girl!!!!  I was especially honored and excited to be part of that special moment between them.

At the end of the night, we took a walk to the shore line and got in a day of trash the dress session!  Ok, so it just got a little wet… but that is more than most brides want to do the day of the wedding.  It was lots of fun!

Here are a few from the day.
